About Us

Based in N. Fort Myers, FL, Florida Freezer LP is a Public Refrigerated Warehouse and an asset based 3rd Party Logistics Provider (3PL) dedicated to creating pragmatic solutions to meet the logistical needs of Florida, and to find opportunities where others only see problems.

Family Owned and Operated

Florida Freezer is a family owned and operated company with almost 50 years in the transportation and warehouse industry.  Its owners and staff are dedicated to providing cost effective and efficient service for all of your logistical needs.

Our Solutions Team

Robert Fay is our President.  Robert has spent 25+ years developing supply chain solutions, concentrating on food distribution networks, including almost 20 years as the General Manager of Florida Freezer. Robert graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, received his MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University, and a graduate degree in Supply Chain Management from Pennsylvania State University.  He is actively involved with the Global Chain Alliance, particularly with the International Refrigerated Transportation Association board, the USDA NAREEE Advisory Board, and other industry groups.

Gregg Garrison, our Logistics Specialist, has been in the logistics business now for over ten years with solid experience in freight movement and transportation.  Gregg’s wide range of business experience and dedication to quality make his support of daily operations paramount in the sensitive food logistics business.

Lora Warren, our Customer Service Manager, has been taking care of our clients need for over ten years.  Her in depth knowledge of our clients goods helps Lora stay on top of wide ranging needs.

Paula Ward, our Transportation Supervisor, is another long tenured team member with almost twenty years.  Paula not only takes care of the transportation needs of our clients, but also facilitates the smooth transition between transportation and warehousing on our dock.

Robert Kidney, our Operations Supervisor, is also a veteran team member of Florida Freezer.  He provides the critical daily oversight of the warehouse team to ensure your goods are stored properly and handled with the care they deserve.

Bill Hutchison, our facility superintendent, is our longest serving team member with over twenty years experience at Florida Freezer.  Not only does Bill take care of the facility and grounds, but also is an integral part of our daily warehouse operations.

Florida Freezer’s main location is located in N. Fort Myers, the in the heart of Southwest Florida, allowing for efficient distribution from Sarasota to Marco Island along the coast and inland from Sebring to Immokalee.- 125 miles Equi-distant between Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.- Located just off I-75 with easy access to all major cities and ports in Florida.
Oversized truck dock accommodates all types of trucks and is geared for cross docking.
6 car rail siding with direct to Freezer rail door and outside dock/ramp.
Geared to serve your specific needs with a combination of selection, drive in, and drive through racks, as well as bulk storage.
Outside commodity storage for bulk materials such as lumber, wall board, steel and other building materials.
Sprinklers and video surveillance throughout the building.- Central station electronic security.
Rigorous pest control program, provided by Santiano Bros.

Florida Freezer now operates two cross dock facilities, one each in Lakeland, FL and Medley, FL.  The Lakeland facility gives Florida Freezer expanded dry storage capabilities.

Inventory Management

All inventory information is now maintained in Camelot’s Excalibur system, a customized inventory management program for greater product movement and inventory accuracy.
Customer online access to inventory is now available through our secure portal.  Customer online order processing is coming soon.
Production date and expiration date tracking.
Batch code/production code tracking.
FIFO, LIFO, or Production Date stock rotation.

Our entire warehouse staff is dedicated to achieving our goals of 100% inventory accuracy and 100% damage free storage.
Inventory on hand and history reporting available as you need it.

From I-75:
Head west from exit 143 approximately 3/4 mile to First St. (do NOT cross RR tracks). Turn right onto First, then make quick left onto East Street. Make next left onto Interstate Court. Florida Freezer is the second warehouse on the left.

From US-41:
Head east approximately 5 miles towards I-75 along Bayshore Road. Cross over RR tracks and make immediate left onto First St. Then follow same directions as above.
